that said, I agree, I would like to see them get knocked out by a team like Germany but that's not ideal, getting knocked out in the group stages is the ideal situation (though not getting into the WC is even better)

So funny watching the build up on RTE then on BBC. Giles and Dunphy going on for ages about England not pressing and not closing down their man and showing examples. Then Hansen on BBC says the complete opposite! In fairness he had examples too but funny to see the difference of opinion!

Not sure about the England team selection, whats Gerrard doing being played anywhere in midfield? One of their best players and captain and hes just being thrown around in loads of positions. Does Capello even know his best position!

Sooner the better RTE get a HD channel then i have no reason to watch ITV or BBC cause there so full of ****e its not even funny.

Well I'm watching RTE at the moment and recording game on BBC and will watch it later so I can't really comment on what are BBC are saying at this minute.

I will however stand by my opinion that the lads on RTE will give a more objective and proper footballing analysis than the hype on English channels.

Don't you remember how with the England v USA game that everybody outside England thought that it was a poor performance by England. RTE lads tore the peformance to shreds whilst ITV praised the performance and did not give any proper critical analysis to the game. It happens all the time and only adds to English fans expectations as all they are getting is popularist hype and not in-depth analysis of performances or players abilities.
