rte radio one now...sec statement on accounting production error

    coming on in 2 minutes....talking physics now

    16 schools affected

    schools were emailed the full papers when error was discovered

    very little. SEC issued a statement saying no student would be disadvantaged as a result of the production error in todays accounting exam'. Education guy from the irish times I think then came on and said he knew one student going for an A who became upset at the missing questions and the waiting as there was a dash to the photocopier and fax machine for the full paper. He said how would an examiner know if a C student would have got an A without the production error. He said a students state of mind can't be established through what they write. He then went on to slate the SEC for the error last week in the junior cert business studies exam. An excuse the SEC give is that no system is perfect. That was about it I think. Don't know if it will be on playback online later
