    Hi All.

Today my Mother got a letter in the post from Littlewoods catalogue Shopping to say that we owed them 15 CENTS!!!!...not sure how this 15cents came about cause it just says on the bill that we owed them it....So basically rang them up on told them to cancel her account with them (After using them for at least 10 years back when it was Family Album).

Basically it cost them the price of a stamp to send out the letter....and the paper of sh!t in it could have been a saving too them....

Im just wondering has anyone had any bad experiences like this with them?

ps....Sending them the 15cents in 1 cent coins just for badness!

Normally companys have a debt collection procedure with a min amount, such as for example anything below 10e will just be written off as its not worth going after it.

Clearly littlewoods don't have such a system, they might want to get one if they want to save the company money...sending out a letter fopr a 17c debt is retarded

These are prob just computer generated and chances are no one actually looked at it or the guy putting them in an envelope is in a low paid posistion and doesnt care whats written on each letter to go to the hassle of bringing it up with management.

Do Littlewoods have a freepost address? If so, send it to that, and make them pay again.

Almost certainly an automated process. You would think a company like Littlewoods would have some sort of cut-off limit on bad debts though, as Cabaal suggested. Bizarre that they don't. This will cost them 10x the debt in administration and such.

Send them 50c and demand change.

send them a cheque for 20c and then watch as statements with the credit amount of 3c come through every month. :D
