Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i love how everyone who ridiculed Maradonna for months on end has gone pretty ****in quiet since this tournament started.

Knockout stages is a different business altogether!

lets see shall we? they've easily been the most impressive team in the tournament so far. defending well, attacking magnificantly, solid in midfield, Maradonna deserves credit for that. and redout, last time you made a prediction like that i'm pretty sure ya looked a tit soon afterward (Spain-Swiss match thread)

Defensively they've been barely tested, I'd like to see them do well and they could go far and perhaps there will be no team to test them the way things are going but we'll see.

defending well? you must of missed the Korea match, Alan they were in a very easy group, it wouldnt be that hard to look impressive in that group. Mexico will be a very good test for this Argentinian team.

Yeah I said it didnt look likely the Swiss would score after their first half performance. Now in all fairness I doubt there was many who would have disagreed with me at the time.

We're all human at the end of the day.

I'd predict a rather easy win for Argentina, more than happy to put some money on it if you fancy it.

I would agree, I can see Argentina easing past Mexico in the second round. This game though was very poor, no ambition from Greece in the last 20 mins. Messi was well marked out of the game as well for 70 odd minutes, the top teams can do the same as Greece but also provide an attacking threat.
