Hi! Is anybody know how much is the cost to convert attic with dormer window for a 3 bedroom house? Only standard bed room without ensuit. See a lot of adverts in the newspaper, just dare not call them without recommendation. Thanks!

Where are you based? Prices will vary across the country.

Any more details of the job you want to do?

I live in Kildare. Just dormer window as an extra. Haven't apply for any planning permission yet. Just convert a 3 bed room house into attic.

Putting the dormer window on will need planning permission.

To give you a guide price we would need to know:
What is the length and width of your bungalow?
    What is the roof pitch?
What is the height from the joist to the ridge?
What sise are the joists and rafters?
Is it a cut or trussed roof?
Do you want a stairs or access ladder?
What modification will be needed for the stairs? (assuming you need one)
What room/rooms do you want in the attic?
Will you need water and electricity brought up?
Will you need to heat the attic?
    Is your boiler big enough?
    What are the roof finishes?

It is not straightforward to give a price, every job is different.
