I was travelling on the train through Leixlip last week, and as we passing over the aquaduct I noticed that there seemed to be some works going on both sides of the Rye Water. I am curious as to what is going on there, I always thought that a pedestrian bridge across from Woodside would be very useful. Anybody know what's going on? Would a bridge there end the infamous feuds? Or open up a new front.

noticed that myself yesterday, was down in woodside.

It could be the prelude to an invasion by far-enders/hillers delete as appropriate!!!

OR it could be for access to Confey College for all the kids who are attending there form the far end.

Must have been very annoying for those living the far side of the river to make a huge detour to go to school. I'm really curious as to whether or not something is being built there, can't find anything on the KCC website.

Saw this myself. From what i gather, its just a walkway on both sides of the river to bring people to view the aquaduct. Half of my Leixlip friends didnt even know it existed!
