    The rule that I think is daft is the one that forces you to take a penalty shot if a bunker is full of water (say a flash flood or a ditch overflows). You either have to play the ball from in the bunker but if it is full of water then you realistically have to drop out.

    The other rule I hate is the one that currently is penalising me - can I not just hit a mulligan?

    Mulligans are of course allowed in "friendly games".
    The bunker full of water is fair enough imo, you are after all still in a hazard and ime there are two solutions to the problem of watterlogged bunkers, one is the committee can put a local rule in place to say all bunkers are "gur" for the day and the second is the more obvious one of don't hit your ball in to the bunker in the first place:D.

    Did you read my post at all? :confused:
    He is not intending to test the surface. My whole point was that the same action has different consequences depending on the reason behind the action.
