Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HTC Hero ROMS

    I've installed 2 different ROMs on my HTC hero now and both have had their problems. I keep getting different messages saying ".... has unexpecedtly quit" which results in more problems like loss of making calls etc..

    The ones I've installed are Villian and Modaco (sp?)

    Which have you guys installed and have worked with no problems?

    They're two of the best ones, exioot. If you have problems with those, then using one of the others probably won't help.

    What applications are quitting or Force Closing on you?

    There is about 10 different processes closing down including phone, calendar, media.
    How can I go about reverting back to the original rom?

    Were you taking nandroid backups all along?
    If so, you can revert to your original ROM (which would have been your first backup)

    Alternatively, just grab the original file off HTC's website.

    Suprised your getting so many problems, did you fully wipe the phone before installing these.I had a few issues with the latest version of villian rom so switched back to sensehero b5.1. Very stable so far, dont think i've had a FC yet and battery life is respectable.

    Yeah I was surprised myself so many problems kept popping up, when others have had no problems.
    Both installs were from a clean wipe so I don't know where the problem lies.

    Got it reverted back to the original ROM, so its asking me to update with the over-the-air update, but when it restarts it goes to that root screen. How do I go about updating?
