Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Denmark ladies have scored against Scotland in their Ladies World Cup qualifier. The Danish men should take note from their females!

Olson said some things that the Japansese coach must have put on the training ground walls cos they don't lack motivation tonight. Denmark are as bad as I can ever remember them. Their only hope is that Japan simply run out of steam.

Anyone got an answer for my question on the last page.

Was this the first free-kick scored at the World Cup ?
Two free kicks were scored previous to today but I'm not sure if they were deliberate - one was certainly a cross that snook in.

Kalu Uche scored one against Greece.

That was the one that was not deliberate.

It was just knocked into the box - amazingly allowed to bounce and went in!

Shearer should be officially called The Parrot. Keown talks about Keeper's error for the first goal, Shearer makes the same point at HT and others agree with him to boost his false belief in himself as an expert. Commentator and Keown remark on how good Matsui has been, Shearer remarks that Matsui has been fantastic. Seriously all he ever does is repeat what others have said.

    Sorenson is having a nightmare.

Wow Sorensen is really shaken hes usually not this bad!

Didnt think Japan would play as well as this fair play to them

Honda's been playing well I'd be surprised if he wasn't linked to a number of high profile clubs after this.

The last 16 match with Paraguay is so hard to call, but it could bethe most exciting of the bunch!

Think he only moved from VVV Venlo to CSKA in the January transfer window, anyone interested would have to stump up a fair amount to get him.

Bendtner is getting the Crouch treatment from the ref here...

It seems the referee has ruled Denmark's height advantage is illegal.

Yeah selfless, would have been great if he finished it himself but nice play to pull it back.

Japan are being made to look fairly decent. Christ Denmark are atrocious.

Honda would have been joint top-scorer if he scored there so it makes his selflessness more impressive.

its pretty bad that Agger has been better than the 2 rubbish Danish forwards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

    How did the Danes qualify?
I'm delighted with japan puts that whole teams from outside Europe and south America are crap argument out the window.

i'm sure it's just World Cup syndrome, but Honda looks a very, very useful player who might be worth a punt.

Great team effort overall. Honda, Tulio & Nakazawa were immense. Honda was linked to Liverpool before the start of last season. Thought I'd mention that if it hasn't already been mentioned

Did they not learn their lesson with Diouf?:D

Great result! Everyone in work is absolutely knackered today after staying up for that. Gonna sneak off home and get some sleep myself so I can tune in later. Bring on Paraguay!

The Japanese looked very good. But the Danes were woeful

Bentner looked like a cart horse .
