Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Free App/Handy way to convert PPT/PPS to AVI or video.

    Hi,
    Just wondering if any of you know of an APP that will convert a PPS (powerpoint show) to an AVI or media file?
    Looking for free app or a method to do this.

    Impress in the OpenOffice suite can open Powerpoint .pps and .ppt files and export to Flash (.swf). To open a .pps in Impress in edit mode (for export to Flash), rename the .pps to .ppt and then open.

    Here is a free tool for converting your PowerPoint show to mov, wmv, asf, and mkv. Acoolsoft PPT to Video Free. But it has limitations to the slide number of your PPT.

    There is also an upgraded version of it, which enables you to convert PowerPoint to 130 video formats. No function limitations to it: Acoolsoft PPT to Video

    Good tools, but I prefer use Presentation to Video Converter, it's really nice program and very simple.
