Possible whiplash

I know this is a motor forum but this is specifically related to a crash and im sure more than a hand ful of people here have experience of whiplash in a crash

My mother was in a car crash today, a van rammed into the back of her when she was stationary. She says she has a pain in the neck but isnt sure if its strong enough to be considered whiplash or is more from he fright of the crash and being tense.

I dont want to drag her in her shocked state to hospital for her to wait 12 hours to be treated.

Has anyone had any experience of whip lash in car crashes, she would rather wait a day or two to see if it gets worse. If it turns out she has whip lash would this mean she cant claim because it wasnt immediate?

she has up to 2 years to claim (to the best of my knowledge). she has various options such as a solititor, the injurys board or dealing direct with the insurance company.

i'd suggest she visit her gp and describe the sympthoms. boards don't really do medical advice.

If in doubt, go and get it checked out. We can't give medical advice here on boards. We know nothing.
    Go to the doctor.
