Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Can't see us getting anything from Bohs as we've been shocking lately. Hopefully the mid-season break helped though and players are coming back fresh. We're missing Cherrie and Burns so should be an even tougher task

Should be able to take Dundalk with them missing Cherrie and Burns, I don't take anything for granted though...

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

STADIUM INVADER HAS CASE STRUCK OUT
A sOCCER fan who invaded the pitch during a Shamrock Rovers-St Patrick's Athletic soccer match has had his case struck out.

Tallaght District Court had previously heard that Shane Holt could face more serious charges including assault

Holt, age 20, with an address at Knockmore Park, Tallaght, had been charged with engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour at Tallaght Stadium, home of Shamrock Rovers, on March 16, 2010.

The court had heard it would be alleged that Holt invaded the pitch and was involved in an incident with a St Pat's player.

Holt was before Judge James McDonnell for possible further charges.

Sgt Carmel Henry told the court that she had been directed to have the matter struck out.

Judge McDonnell struck out the charges

its fine knock yourselves out, we allowed do what we want now :p

Great result, and more importantly, a great performance, easily our best of the season, seems our midfield remembered how to pass :)

Not sure how Rovers didn't score last night, but it's still not good enough. Some players are abdicating responsibility out there. At times, one of two players with big reputations were hiding from the ball.

Without sounding sour there was more joke-shop refereeing: Bray must have killed at least 6-7 minutes between fake cramps or injuries, but the clown gives three minutes ET!? Can't blame the players for pushing it, but the ref should call it.

    Great game at Morton Stadium.
Zayed scored early and Fingal could have had another couple as our defence weren't having a good game. CB Andy Boyle scored against the run of play and then UCD had much the better of the rest of the half.
Second half, Fingal were on top for most of it, had the clearer chances.

Evan McMiillan scored on 85 mins to take the points.

Some great goals and free kick. Shocking tackle by McGowan for the red. Could've broken his leg.

Good win for Galway versus Drogheda. O'Donnell with a free-kick. Apparently Drogheda were robbed, puts a bit of daylight between us and the sides below us. And Derek O'Brien makes an appearance! And five subs! :D

Was a bit surprised with the straight red myself (thought he'd been booked previously), didn't really see it properly though.

    Buzz off ScienceNerd.

Rovers not getting all 3 points at Bray is just depressing.

There was at least 5 minutes injury time..Rovers have been at a game with 11 minutes of injury time there (and conceded an equaliser of course)..but the ref also helped out by giving a very soft red card.

Bray should have been 2-0 or 2-1 in front at half time. Some of the abuse Murray and Murphy were getting for being forced to hoof it when the midfield didn't show or when everyone turned their back on Mannus kickouts was a bit strong.

Yeah the "vuvuzelas" were funny. No it was a terrible tackle. The Dundalk manager went down to Pat and apologised for it immediately after

One of the breaks for "treatment" for an "injured" Bray player was easily 2.5 minutes in itself. Thought the sending off was soft too.

It's weird to leave a match that you could have easily won 3-0 but still despair at the team.

There was one incident that sums up: Murphy was on the ball and not a single player was turned to him, let alone showing for it. I think that Rice is not as good a footballer as Bocca or Turner but he would never hide.

At the very least, I would have played Chambers in the middle.

One bright spot was Paddy having a decent game. I think the lad just needs a good run with the crowd behind him. He's obviously a player that thrives on the crowd being behind him. You get that at smaller clubs but dunno if you will be given that much leeway at a bigger club, and let's face it: definitely not at Rovers.

Played for a draw and got a draw, could be still playing that game now and seriously doubt Sligo would have gotten a shot in.

Poor game but fully expect that 451 to be used for our next few away games. Brush nearly created the most epic of OGs.

Poor joey ndo got some terrible abuse from the pats fans and then had Dave Mulcahy "mark" him for the entire game, assume Mulcahy is in hospital know having joey surgically removed from his pocket

Still making my way slowly back to Wexford after a trip to Salthill Devon. Fantastic set up there and the new holders of the windiest ground in Ireland, formerly held by ourselves.

Lovely people associated with the club, but just one little gripe. The pitch must be the smallest ever in LOI and not suited to us purists who love to hoof it miles in to the air and see what happens :o

Shocking display from the Youths, but sure we get used to that every second game or so

Thought Bohs were poor enough to be honest we were absolutely muck though. Game changed when Foster moved Miller to centre half and put Cawley into midfield. Your midfield then dominated and 3-0 didn't flatter you.
Red card was a definite red. Stupid tackle to make

Why in the name of all things holy can Shels not play like that every week? I never thought I'd care about the LSC, but that was feckin' awesome! The performance was just Godlike.

Pinto was epic when he came on, really gave their left back a torrid time. Giller must be Jesus, or something - a reminder, as if we needed any, of how much we missed him in Ballybofey. We'd have left there with 3 points had he not been suspended.

Dinny was the one weak point for me, as the sole striker for the first half he looked miles off the pace. Thankfully the return of Philly turned things around, and we looked alot more dangerous when we went back to 442.

Pinto was an absolute disgrace and shouldnt be allowed on a football field with that behaviour. He wasnt any good to start with and ive never seen anyone try to con the ref and cheat as much as he did last night and the ref fell for it every time. He ran straight into Fingal player and he fell to the ground and the ref gave him a free kick and every time he kept falling down near a Fingal player he was getting the free kicks. He was blatently diving from the moment he got on and what made it worse that the shells heads in suits in the directors box kept shouting for a card for a Fingal player everytime Pinto fell down sometimes with no contact but when he clattered a Fingal player off the ball nothing was said and to my disbelief your suits said the Fingal player dived and should get a card when the chap was clearly injured. Disgraceful stuff. The ref played and extra ten minutes at the end of the second half and thats before the added time was put up so it was close to an extra 15 minutes and it seemed like he was waiting for shells to equalise before calling time which what happened.
Pinto was a disgrace and so was the ref but after saying all that there isnt a complaint about the score as it was a fair result.
How come Dinny was playing when he is on loan from Fingal ?
It was funny the way the players and fans celebrated at the end as if you had got to the final of the FAI CUP or something :) I suppose it means a lot to you seeing that you wernt likely to win anything else this year .:)

With all sh1t this season, lack of winning, lack of caring, etc... and possibly an away final in Bray think that's the whole reasoning behind the OTT celebrations at the end.:D
