Renault Scenic Immobiliser Code

    I bought a 2001 scenic with timing belt issues. I started to strip the engine yesterday and noticed the immobiliser light flashing on the dash.

    Googled the problem and it looks like I need a 4 digit code to override the immobiliser. I have the 5 digit key code, it's an RF key (KRS). Any idea where I can get the code without having to do battle with Renault.

    Tried the sit in the car with and turn ign on an hold the button on the key for a few seconds and hey presto the red light went out. Camshaft not turning though, something to keep me occupied next week. Thanks for looking.

    Expect a whole pile of nicely bent valves......:o

    Them Renault engines are not very forgiving when the belts let go.
