Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello all

I have a dodgy Sony MS Duo memory stick which i had a few old pics on that i couldn't access.
Recently i used some software that i bought online (CardRecovery.com)to recover the files from the memory stick.

CardRecovery is certainly very good. The software was able to see and recover them but the images themselves are only present on about 5% of the jpeg, the top horiztonal end. The rest is a dark grey colour.

When i look in the folder, i can see the entire image in the thumbnail, but nothing appears when i try to open it to full size.

I tried to open the jpegs on Windows Picture&Fax viewer, Corel Photoshop etc but none of them will open the files. One of the programs told me it cant open the jpeg because the file is corrupted. I realise that this is a problem with the files and not the programs.

Does this mean i may as well just forget about it or is there something more i can do to recover these jpegs?

    Thanks everyone!
    DG

The better the software you use the better the chance of recovery. The bit of kit we use here cost $1400!! Rarely fails!
