Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

My husband loves photography and his birthday is coming up and I'd love to enrol him in an evening/weekend course.

Anybody know of any good ones around north county dublin?

    Cheers

If its landscapes then Peter Cox runs popular workshops. These vary from short 1-2 days to longer workshops (up to 10 days) and shorter seminars.

I've attended one of the IOP's which Paul refers to above (a half day thingy) and if that is anything to go by then they are very well organised.

Both the individuals (Peter Cox and Dave McKane-IOP) who run these two courses/seminars are decent guys too - very helpful.

Any of these courses provide you with a cert?

id be interested too, i cant decide whether it would better to do some short courses and workshops or try and get the cash together to go part time in griffith college or somewhere and get some kind of accreditation..

if someone else is paying for the course, they may insist on a cert to show you actually showed up.

i've seen this before while on computer training - people showing up on the first day to register, and you don't see them till the last day when they show up to pick up a cert.

No no for myself like, to show someone if you looked for a photography job or something.

you want to be impressing customers with a portfolio, not with certs.

Ok I understand that but I haven't got one, I'm only interested on starting out and trying to figure out my next course of action!

    Maybe I shouldn't even be thinking about a course yet, I don't know, that's why I'm here!:p
