Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Charge Battery - where in Ballymun does it?

    Hey all.

Being a daft prick, I left the lights on in my van overnight there. Battery ran dead flat, mate of mine couldn't jump it. Anyways, the auld fella says it's worth a charge as the battery is only 18 months old. Took it out there tonight.

I live in the Ballymun area but am fairly new to it - where would be the nearest place to get it charged? Any help would be mighty. Cheers!

If you can install your mate's battery in your van, you can start it then leave the engine running while you remove that battery and re-install your one. A good drive should recharge it enough then. Just be careful with the spanner and don't cause a short circuit!

Other than that - you could leave it connected for an hour or two via jump leads to your mate's running van, then it might have taken enough of a charge to start the engine. A good drive as above etc. Finally, any tyre/battery place should be able to do a fairly rapid charge for you. There's one on the corner of the old Swords Road near the end of Santry Avenue - probably the nearest to you.

If it was me, I'd be trying the battery swapping option first.....

    Ah sorry!!

I found a garage that recharged it, did that and she's going like a dream since. Just hoping it's the same tomorrow morning! :)

Thanks a mill for the advice, it's good for the future when I've more mates who motor near me.
