Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Uruguay have the bigger attacking threat, but South Korea are an unpredictable side.

Have a feeling this one will go to extra time, or even penalties, and it certainly won't be scoreless!

I reckon Uruguay to snatch this in a close one by a single goal.

From what I've seen, it'll be 2-1 Uruguay

Really looking forward to this game actually. Should be a good watch, minus a lot of over-paid prima donnas.

Uruguay for me too , but hoping that the Koreans don't turn in a Japanese style performance , like the match last Thurs against Denmark

I'll continue to support both Korea and Japan since they're the closest to us in the Elo Ratings. They've also got fairly decent styles of play (compared to the likes of Greece and Switzerland) so c'mon the red devils!

    Korea: Sung-Ryong, Du-Ri, Young-Pyo, Yong-Hyung, Jung-Soo, Jung-Woo, Sung-Yong, Jae-Sung, Ji-Sung, Chung-Yong, Chu-Young

Uruguay: Muslera, Lugano, Godin, Fucile, M. Pereira, Perez, Arevalo, Cavani, A. Pereira, Suarez, Forlan

Think this will be a comfortable one for Uruguay, Korea are poor at the back. Uruguay won't concede either.

Whet your appetites with my preview, here.

I'm looking forward to this one. Hoping that South Korea can go through. I reckon that it'll be a close one, possibly extra-time to decide it.

Here's hoping. 8/5 for Uruguay to win with a clean sheet was too tempting not to do!

That Port Elizabeth stadium looks amazing from the aerial shots!

I fancy Uruguay by a goal or maybe two but it will be tight. I just think Uruguay will be able to control the high energy frenzy of the South Koreans in midfield and Suarez or Forlan will pick them off.

I've been very impressed with Perez, the Uruguayan defensive midfielder, so I'm interested to see how he does.

The winner of this plays the winner of USA/ Ghana so they have a pretty good shot of making the semis.

Before today, Luis Suarez has finished on the winning side in 21 consecutive matches for club and country that he has scored in.

    Not a bad omen!

A bit dramatic there from the SK player.

Note to RTE commentator: Álvaro Pereira is black and playing on the left wing, Egidio Arévalo is the small defensive midfielder with the shaved head.
