he's referring to the rather absurd notion of shooting for free at dusk, as if it was usually a chargeable affair.

It's a dusk shoot where you can actually learn something (if anyone is interested). These shoots can be very interesting, and it's also a good way to meet other photographers.

So it was a shoot at dusk where there are experienced photographers at hand to help you improve your shots? If so thats a great idea, im not from cork but its certainly a great idea to promote your studio / courses while been of genuine help. Any tips to be shared or photos?

Yes, correct. You get a quick intro with some tips and hints. It's well worth attending if you're looking to learn something new.

Thanks for the tip but theres the little matter of a 9 hour cie journey each way best of luck with them, it really is a great idea.

They also run them in Dublin. Not sure about other locations, but I've been on a Dublin one before and picked up some tips.
