So, just a few options on possible nights for the meetup.

Any thoughts on venues? 8pm, somewhere in the city centre. Perhaps Kehoe's off Grafton St? It's suitably arty but relaxed. It is pretty packed on a Friday though.

I'm living in Sligo a bit longer than I expected (got a job for July) so Friday's the only one that suits me. Annoyingly, the job finishes on the 16th, so any day from then on would also be perfect.

Maybe we should do the 16th then? The options were just a few dates I picked in the week that seemed to suit, so 16th should be fine too...

No idea, I rarely drink in town.
Perhaps you or funky would have a better idea.
    Maybe some student pubs?
You suggested Kehoe's, that might be good.

btw NCH have a concert of Scottish music that night also.......
    http://www.nch.ie/Box-Office/Performances/0907-RTE-National-Symphony-Orchestra.aspx?date=09/07/2010&time=1930

    Starting at 1930 to 2100ish
We could hit that before hand.
Maybe get the €18 dark green ones?

    Program
Mendelssohn Hebrides Overture, Op. 26 (Fingal's Cave)
    Bruch Scottish Fantasy, Op. 46
Arnold Tam O'Shanter Overture, Op. 51
Maxwell Davies An Orkney Wedding with Sunrise
Hamish MacCunn Land of the Mountain and the Flood

Scottish music? I didn't know there was such a thing! :D

Student pubs...what are they? There's always the Conrad if we're looking for a touch of class...!! Kehoe's will be really packed on Friday.

    I'm good for wherever.

    +1 on this.

I'd like the NCH option tbh, purely to see the Hebrides. But we can all meet up at 9 anyway if people don't wanna go to it.

I like the idea of the Conrad!!! :) I've never been, but I'd love to see czech it out.

I don't think I could tolerate the Arnold or the McCunn, much as I love The Hebrides, but I'll try and get to the Conrad around 9.

Or for a beery touch of class, The Bull and Castle.

I'll have to give the concert idea a miss though.

Can't say I'm mad about the concert programme. I love the Bull and Castle idea though! That or the Conrad...hmm. The Conrad might be a bit subdued for us rowdy musical types...

No idea where that is, we'll have to decide on something by tomorrow.
I don't mind a quiet place, don't plan on going mad tbh, have to catch the last bus!

Bull and Castle is facing Christ Church. Good place, but can be noisy.

Let's say the Conrad. 8pm Friday?

The Conrad? I love it! It's about the closest to classy I'll get now that I live on de nortsoide again. ;)

Though I must say I much prefer a quiet pint in an old man's pub...

Someone should bring a giant treble clef and put it on the table.

I am in the process of making a moderately sized one from a piece of cardboard. It will be rudimentary (no pun intended!!) as I am useless at arts and crafts.
