I am planning a months holiday in the USA (flights booked) and plan to rent a car in vegas and drive round california for 2 weeks. I have run into a problem...i have left it too late applying for a credit card and will not get one in time. i have a VISA debit card however. my girlfriend who is travelling with me has a credit card and is 25 has a full license for less than a year. i have a full license 4 years but am 24. we both planned to share the driving. Does anyone have experience of renting with a company in vegas that will rent to some one with out a credit card? we are really worried about this.

The person who rents/drives the car doesn't have to be the same person who pays for the car.

I hired one (in Vegas) via the 'net 5 weeks ago with my credit card for my wife to drive. We picked it up together last week and we again used my card to confirm the reservation.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds great...what company did you rent from?

    Dollar

    Rented via carhire3000

5 seater Ford Edge for €60 per day including all insurance.

Dollar have agencies all over town at different casinos avoiding having to pickup/dropoff at the airport.
