Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

why? As sepp and fifa say it allows the fans to discuss the moments of terrible officiating and that is what FIFA want.

Because of what just happened - instant replay in front of the whole stadium including officials. They can surely show highlights on the screens at half-time thus still allowing people to view and discuss.

This is just pure retarded. Theres a big bloody screen, the refs have seen it but they are not allowed to reverse decisions. RETARDED

ah ffs, this is getting crazy, he was on his own in front of everyone. It's just a game of chance at this stage.

Exactly. What's the point of anything if the rules are going to be totally disregarded?

Poor Mexico are fooked altogether now

The only thing that showing the replay has done is affected the players and officials..it hasn't helped one iota.

It would've been farcical if the decision was overturned.

Green laser again - someone had one on Messi in the opener also.

The Mexicans have lost all their composure since the 1st goal, they need half time to calm down. There is a way back into the game for them but they need to regain their concentration.

    I got a fiver on 3-0 ( 11/1) and a fiver on 4-1 (30/1).

I am jinxing it by posting no doubt but I fear the Argies are going to get more than 4 at this rate.

    I've always said Hig-y-ian.

Will people stop criticising Blatter, he has eyes and ears everywhere. I for one love our glorious leader who had led football back to the golden years when technology was never allowed. The fact he even has to stand for elections is a disgrace. I propose he should be made President for Life. And after his death football should be renamed Blatter Ball. All hail Blatter.

    I didn't say win it :p

Get back into it, maybe a draw.

It's unlikely but an early goal and they are right back in it.

The Mexicans really need to calm down, their behaviour at half time was bordering on the disgraceful. The decision was wrong but starting fights will not get them back in the game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,992 ✭✭✭✭partyatmygaff

FIFA should be ashamed of their referees, they are shockingly poor.

FIFA should be ashamed of their referees, they are shockingly poor.

Blame cannot be laid solely at the feet of the referee's - they are human thus prone to error - they certainly dont have the luxury of television views to see incidents like we do.

Lads on the BBC just pointed out that goal line technology would have done nothing for the incident we just witnessed in this match.

All this discussion is bollox - errors are a part of the game and a part of every major tournament since the inception of the game.

Every tournament has incidents and this discussion always comes up - always has and always will - it aint nothing new.
