    Hello,

    I'm wondering if someone can help me translate something. The speaker is male, not sure if that makes any difference.

    I don't know how the Italian language has changed but it's for a short story I'm writing, set in Florence in the 15th century. Archaic words are good. The phrase i'd like translated is, "In seeking salvation, I condemned myself."

    Can anyone help?
