Not sure which came first but The Cream of Eric Clapton and Brothers in Arms were the first two albums in my collection, bought in the mid 80's when I was 12 I think.

I got "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd (on vinyl) on Saturday 13th September 1975....I was 15 and bought "Jaws"(the book) on the same day.

I still have the record although it's pretty much worn out by now. No idea where the book is.... ;-)

I was given Wyclef Jeans Ecleftic cause the Rock and Wyclef had that song "It Doesn't Matter". Album turned out pretty good in the end. I bought a few of his when I grew older then. I still enjoy him but I'd rarely listen
First album I bought was Blink's take off your pants and jacket. Fan ever since
Side note, last album I bought was Biffy Clyro's "Only Revolutions". What an album!!!!

Long time ago...I think it was "News Of The World" by Queen or Led Zeppelin IV.
First album that was bought for me as a present was some rubbish by Gary Glitter - Oh the shame!
Most recent purchase was Nils Lofgrens' lovely tribute album of Neil Young songs - "The Loner"

Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP. Owning that album when you were a 12 year old made you instantly cool.

    Michael Jackson - Bad

Before that I would listen to my brothers New Kids On The Block - Hangin' Tight tape. Sadly the edgier sounds of their inspiration New Edition hadn't really taken off in rural Ireland at that stage.

HIStory double album, Michael Jackson. Still my favourite to this day! I was 7 or 8.

I had an older brother and an older cousin who lived just two houses up from me. Plus I was one of the youngest in the area I lived in so I survived on the albums they bought and my mother's collection until I was 9 years and 8 months old. Then I bought Separations by Pulp on CD. CDs were expensive then. It was actually the first CD I had bought even. Up to that I only had one CD to share with my brother. Everything else was cassettes. I remember actually keeping any money I got for sweets to pay the £14 or so that that album cost. It was worth every penny.

I got presents of albums before this album but the first one I bought was "Time" by ELO. Its about a guy whos taken to the future. It actually hasn't aged and their only album really that i like. Someone has put together a great video.

    Elvis - Jailhouse rock

I was about 6 or 7 i think & bought it in a market on cassette. I was chuffed, i now hate Elvis though i still maintain it was a decent first album!
