    Hi .

I have to change a couple of cheques , ino I can do it in the bank but most of them take couple of days to clear ?

Where else can I just go in and they'll change it for cash for me ?

    Cheers

If the cheques are crossed, you'll have to lodge them into a bank account.

Even uncrossed cheques are becoming virtually impossible to cash due to the amount of fraud taking place.

Yup. Unless it crossed, or it's for a large amount. Then you can only cash it in the bank where you have an account.

I always cash cheques in local shop!! If you are a regular customer they should be ok. However if not in the bank from which they are drawn and then they can clear them straight away otherwise you just have to wait!!:D
