Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Usual fawning interview. ESB your service is broke, you're charging people, go and fix it. You'd think they were a bloody charity providing a service for free rather than one of the most expensive providers in Europe.

Jasus keyboard warriors ahoy, the ESB have been set the biggest logistic challenge in its history, and I say that as no fan of theirs!

Tricky area this where there is an intellectual disability. There is a fine line between the right to have a sexual relationship and being exploited or abused. There is no easy answer!

Go have a look at some of the places they are working - ESB lines go across farmland, forestry & mountainous areas of the country that are never ever visited by the average person.
IMO they are doing trojan work & certainly deserve their pay far more than someone working 4 hours a week in a studio & a lot of the "hands on" guys are working for contractors so perhaps not all that well paid!
And NO I don't work for the ESB

ESB Networks really need to get a strong spokesperson that has the balls to tell the Whingey McWhiners of this nation to cop de fugg on

The workers may have lost a lot of goodwill due to Ogles antics but it's been restored over the last few weeks

I witnessed crews working in atrocious weather, rain and wind

RTE, Duffy, L'Oreal etc need to reconsider allowing every local cranky whine bag access to the airwaves

Cept perhaps Mountain Rescue, the volunteer service.

Maybe I missed stuff (certainly I missed anything on Liveline, because I don't listen to it) but I had an impression that many people coming on air to tell about the difficulties of being without power were very understanding of the scale of the problem and appreciated the heroic efforts of the crews working in difficult conditions in order to get them connected. The tone of the reports was restoring some of my faith in human nature.

These farmers who can't milk their cows really p1ss me off. Businesses which rely on having electricity all the time usually have a stand-by generator. What's wrong with farmers that they can't do that........or is it that they want yet another grant?

Was thinking the same, fail to prepare, prepare.....

Farmer on Whineline beat all, lad in Tipp wanted to know why there hadn't been a specific storm warning for Tipp, thought it was a crank call, but no, he was also complaining about trees that fell on his land ..... Special people out there!

Who's the idiot in the studio that didn't get the subtle funny part of the McDonalds ad, ie: The joke in that ad was that the other lads were looking weirdly at the lad that said he waxed

Nora Owen... Yeah, she seemed to think that it was normalizing men waxing their chest, when in fact the joke was "look at this group of girly boys talking about waxing themselves."... It was more reinforcing of male stereotypes than adding anything new to the debate... much like those idiot guy, clever woman ads..

She represents Labours attempt to strangle and force feed the smart electorate that Labour social engineers deem stupid.

She has consistently been rejected by the electorate yet she is continually foisted upon us

Labour think it's the 'tough decisions' that will hurt them in upcoming elections, fact is it's their social engineering experiments that will actually hurt them

Very very simple, she is not a Labour person.

She is a radical who hitched herself to Labour and quite frankly the electorate saw through that like a clear pane of glass- many many times.

It's great, to be honest ,to see that mouthpieces can't bully their way into Leinster house.

We've heard plenty of Panti over the past few weeks. It's only fair that Breda O'Brien has her right to reply.

Breda O'Brien is complaining about the airtime given to Panti. She does not seem to appreciate that she has had 10 times more airtime and page spaceto spout her intolerant views than ever Panti had.

Agree. Breda hasn't a leg to stand on. She is, in fact, arguing against adoption in any circumstances. She is the pitts........!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,477 ✭✭✭Oops69

She's showing her true colours now , homophobe was probably the mildest category she could be put in to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,477 ✭✭✭Oops69

Breda is just proving panti's point over and over again, keep going Breda , when you're finished digging your hating hole , throw the shovel up for the rest of your freak friends in the institute .

I knew she was anti gay marriage, but I never realised she was anti adoption as well! I'm looking forward to her explaining that away!
At least everyone can now see just how intolerant she really is.

Pity that Breda opposes Ireland taking it's place among the progressive nations of the world. Maybe she would be more comfortable living and being a Patron in an institute patronised in Putin's Russia!

We've been hearing from Breda and the Iona for years now.

Breda and the Iona were offered a right of reply after Rory's interview and declined it and instead threatened to sue.

Not only that, but they refused to take part in the homophobia debate on The Saturday Night Show.

Sounds like yesterday's show was fun.. I may listen back..

I think that Former Fianna Fáil candidate Noel Whelan should be announced as such if they are all putting their cards on the table..
