dynamic dns on netopia 2247-62

    had a look on the netopia site and it says that the netopia 2247-62 supports dynamic dns, however i cannot find it on any of the routers menus.



    any ideas ? eircom might have removed it?

    Its not available through the menus, you have to config it through telnet.

    Open command prompt (Start > Run > cmd (enter) and type

    Replace the bits in green below with your settings all other remain the same

    telnet 192.168.X.X (replace with the IP of your router/modem)



    Commands:
    configure
    set dynamic-dns option dyndns.org
    set dynamic-dns ddns-host-name myhostname.dyndns.org
    set dynamic-dns ddns-user-name myusername
    set dynamic-dns ddns-user-password myuserpassword
