Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

if you shoot a gun and drop a bullet at the same height and time, the two bullets will hit the ground at the same time (or to be pedantic, within milliseconds of one another!)

Am I missig something here, cos theres no way that can be true

It sure is. Same gravity force acting on the same body of metal. Doesn't matter that the shot bullet has travelled sideways during that time.

The deviation in milliseconds comes from minor height adjustments of the shot bullet from air currents. Or curvature of the earth if its a really strong gun!

Are you talking about a bullet being shot horizontally and another dropped vertically downward? or both vertically downward?

Ha! No, a normal horizontal gunshot, and a normal bullet drop from beside the gun, at the same time. Trust me, I know things!

    Not true.

Also, the Great Wall of China is not visible from space. Except for a very broad definition of space, and at that height, plenty of other man-made objects are visible

Eh but thats what he asked isnt it? So the gun is facing horizontal when shot and the bullet is dropped (vertically) beside the gun. Cause both facing vertically really cant be true. :0

Many turtles can. Others can breathe underwater through structures in their throats/tongue,
