Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I got 36. But then again I knew I was completely colour blind and i'm always mixing up colours, especially when they are close together. I often call green grey or blue black etc... Thought it's be worse really.

14, I'd say the monitor and viewing conditions might make certain colours harder to distinguish

Interesting test, happy with result, but.......surprising results above ^^, could it be the monitors as opposed to individuals ?!

Woohoo, I got 7 but I found that when tilting the laptop screen I could see what was out of order. I thought I got terrible until I realised 0 was perfect so I'm happy.

Thought my monitor in work was crap so did it again and got 58, got 36 earlier. Can't blame the monitor, my gf got 8. Stupid colour blind eyes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,137 ✭✭✭artyeva

12 without me specs. might try it tomorrow with specs...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,161 ✭✭✭leche solara

I scored 8 but really believed I had every colour right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,178 ✭✭✭✭NothingMan

So did the people here really see a distinct difference in the colours all along the spectrum? When I looked at it, especially each end, they mostly looked exactly the same and it was a very gradual change over to the other side.

I didnt see much of a difference at all but I did think it was noticeable when they were even just slightly out of order.

yep, if you'd showed a few of the colours in isolation, they'd have looked identical, but the difference is easier to spot when put side by side.

I got a score of 18, thought it was going to be a lot worse than that.........I'm happy :)

    Crikey - 82 and I really tried. Though I've known since I was a kid that I'm red-green deficient.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishihara_color_test for info on colour deficiency and the Ishihara test

    and here for tests
    http://colorvisiontesting.com/ishihara.htm

Quite common in males apparently and almost unknown in females. Could explain a lot :)

This is more of a test of our monitors rather than our eyesight. I would have scored 0 with a good monitor instead of a 12 :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,311 ✭✭✭Procasinator

would be fairer if there was a time limit

I don't know about time limit, but how much attention and time you give it definitely has an affect.

First time I done it, I got a score of 26. However, I kind of rushed it. Was impatient, wanted to see how gut instinct went.

Did it again, took my time. Made sure to compare each hue to it's neighbour with more care. I got a score of 3.

    Vast improvement.
