Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Part time FETAC course and the dole

I am thinking of doing a part time FETAC course in Art & Design in September. I think the hours would work out as 15-20 per week. Would I still be able to keep my JSA?
I could do this course full time but I know I would definitely lose my dole then. So I have opted for part time.

How many days per week is the course?

I'm not sure yet. It could be run over the 5 days. Or it might be one or two. It depends on the subjects I pick. It is essentially a 1 year PLC course but since it's part time it's run over 2 years.
Why? If it was over 3 days would I lose the dole?

Well worth checking out with Social Welfare if you could do the part time course and hold on to your JA under The Back To Education Part-Time Education Option

    Thanks for the replies, guys.
It looks like my course might be eligible for the part time BTEA. I will chat to the Social Welfare Office about it
