Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Data Recovery Company - any recommendations?

    Hi folks,

Disaster, my Western Digital Bookworld, a 750GB Ethernet drive with about 1/3 of it holding family photos and music projects, has become unrecognizable by XP.

I called Western Digital, and while they will replace the drive, I am responsible for recovering the data. They will send an advance replacement drive, so in theory, the data could flow from the damaged drive to the new one.

Question: are there any good companies out there charging reasonably for this service? I got a quote from a company earlier for €585 ex VAT, the bleeping bleepers!

    Any recommendations greatly appreciated :0)

    Thanks,

    Enda.
