LJ is only good for one thing, the football fixtures Tv coverage.

    Darkman.....well i wont say.

Glad i never brought a Tring card, like i said, i got burnt before with digitalb.

Who seems to have the power with regards to policing EPL Tv abroad?

Is it the EPL or is it Mr "Greedy" Murdochs empire? Or are EPL and Mr Murdouch the same people??????

With players wages, Tv rights (Some broadcasters have paid too much for EPL, In which they either need to sell a lot of Subs or increase prices) I can see EPL/Soccer's bubble bursting and it all comes crashing down.

Its gone crazy, How can 220k a week be justified? Are todays players any better than players of 30 years ago? I can remember going to watch football on a saturday when i was young, 10£ got me and my old chap in and that was at Ipswich when they were flying high in the old Division 1!

Like many here i can find almost every sporting event for free though the internet.
It would be a lot more simple to subscribe to Sports Channels If reasonable affordable Sat was available.

I agree with You hugh TV rights and overpaid Prima donna's have ruined many sports.[in the case of the EPL it could be justified to make the Stadiums safe, they are well safe now!]

Once that had been achieved the concern then should have been for sports lovers, offered at a reasonable price a chance to watch a sport they love.

lower the price, increase subscribers and still a tidy profit to be made.

Pay TV has made 'the Beautiful game' seem ugly.

The Premier League police it but at this stage they are Murdochs puppets and will obey his every whim.
He is the man who gives them half a billion a year so he makes the calls.
Like you Snaps I've become disillusioned by the game .Its all about money ,commercialism and greed.
Year on year Sky bid higher and higher for the rights happy in the knowledge that it will be the average Joe Public sitting at home on his couch that will fund their bid .
There is no honesty or decency left in the game ,its all about screwing as much money out of the supporters as possible.
The reward one gets for paying over the odds for Sky Sports is to be brainwashed by Sky and bombarded by propaganda about how great the EPL is and how all the players are world class.
I've had enough of it anyway and I'll be concentrating on La Liga this season ,at least I'll see some decent football.

    Well said.

Of course those outlandish prices paid by Sky have been in no smalll way caused by the EPL deciding to use the secret tender method of bidding. Football is far and away the mot popular sport on TV. Its the national game of the UK. Why dont their Govt bring all to heel and ordain that a reasonable price be charged to the common man, who after all puts football where it is today. Of couse the EU should have stepped in when they decided to move on Sky a few years ago, instead of tippy-toeing softly, softly.

Players are paid too much money - one of the most overpaid professions on the planet. This is largely in part thanks to tv revenue. Also one of the reasons thats subs will never decrease.

I see darkclown is realising a IPTV spiderbox. No Dish required as it uses internet streams for the picture!

I read some chap say he bought a tring card then heard about this new tring + from Darkman so he contacted the seller who he said then contacted tring and they informed him that there is no such thing as a tring + card and that it is an advertising scam!

As regards the IPTV there is some sort of mid-east IPTV box being sold in some UK sat shops already but only arabic television.

I see that the spiderbox is suffering form freezing now, of course all the Alsat moderators and Darkclown himself are all blaming the ISP speeds that the boxes are using.

We all know the problem, he's sold so many of them that the servers etc are getting overloaded.

Would hate to be sitting there on August 14th on the 1st day of the EPL and the picture is constanly freezing!
