Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got my new Canon 7D delivered last week for €1800 plus delivery.

    http://www.computeruniverse.net/products/e90346355/canon-eos-7d-ef-s-15-85-is-usm-kit.asp

The price included the EF-S 15-85mm IS USM lens. An excellent price and what a camera. I have used computeruniverse.net over the years for everything from computers to DVD players. I never thought of looking at them until now for photography gear. They do seem competitive if not better than other websites and they are based in Europe i.e. they ship from Europe.

Now to figure out what all the buttons and options dol.:D

Might be a bit fun. When?

They filmed the last episode of the most recent season of House using only Canon 5D HD video option.

And were so impressed with the results they will film the full next season with the 5DmkII & 7D cameras.

why? size? i assume they still have to have all sorts of lighting techs and sound techs, and with a production like that, the cost of the cameras themselves would have a minimal impact on the budget.

not so. the alternative is probably red, expensive lenses etc

I love House, brill series [and I normally detest hospital 'drama' with a passion] - I was mad looking forward to the last-ep using the canon cam. You know what, it made no difference. Which says a lot for the camera!

    I wish I had a 7D ...

Indeed it is a great deal, if my budget went that far! The 5D would be no good to me without a lens!;)
