Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Compare your posting style to a real-life footballer

Simple realy, what footballer does your posting style emulate?

I earlier compared Mr Alan to Roy Keane: gruff exterior, has a bad name with some but when you actually look at it he generally talks a hell of a lot of sense.:pac:

Or Slick Ric as Denis Irwin, queitly effective, no fuss, but his worth is recognised those that matter.

Myself, I think I'm a Zlatan Ibrahimovich style figure, wildly divisive, a misunderstood genius, capable of moments of sublime magic, but equally can be infuriating as f*ck.:pac:

Paul McGrath for me, not much said when sober but with a few pints silly things happen.

while i accept the compliment, i'm going to change the player to Didi Hamann.

wouldn't want people thinking i associate to closely with you Utd lot.

    :p

I will compare myself to Mark Viduka

I am fat and lazy and I really only put the effort in when my contract is up for renewal/something interesting happens
(plus I was born in Oz)

    Overweight yet deceptively quick?

edit - Ah I see (did you add that second bit?)

    Ade Akinbiyi.

Usually wide of the mark, but still there..

Harry Kewell, I very rarely make an appearence, usually watch everyone else and when I do turn up I fail to live up to my potential but on occasion I show some promising glipmses.

Andrea Pirlo. Graceful, yet no nonsense. And if something needs driving home, step up to the mark and BAM! Point made.

    Berbatov.
I'm lazy, but every now and then there's a bit of genius about me.:pac:

Stevie G. I think a lot of myself, am far more talented than most of those i have to deal with & can often be seen shaking my head at the stuff going on around me!

(Having actually seen that post though im probably more like Gary Neville and im sure I dont need to say why!)

    Cantona.

Most of the time no-one knows what the hell i'm goin on about but if you disagree with me you'll get my studs to your chin!

Either John O'Shea or Emmanuel Olisadebe, all action for a while petering off into a solid background role or disappearing completely from the public eye with few people wondering where I went to.

Ali Dia, Trilla recommended me, I made a few shocking comments, havent been seen since.

    Javier Mascherano.

Lung busting commitment to my causes but prone to mouthing off and getting into petty arguements with other players and officials.

Also have an accent that does not fit in the country that I am living in. :)

    Victor Anichebe.

I'll come bulldozing in with opinions, but usually run out of ideas halfway through and just end up with everybody cursing me.

Lionel Messi - The best around at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,239 ✭✭✭KittyeeTrix

I'd be Craig Bellamy, not seen too often but tries super hard and am genuinely nice but often misunderstood:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,587 ✭✭✭✭Dont be at yourself

Pepe Reina. Not much gets by me. When I do venture out, it's usually for good reason. Sometimes I'll make an ambitious punt, and the more talented members will latch onto it.

Perry Groves - anyone who's not a regular in the Arsenal forum is probably thinking who is this guy?!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Nicholas Anelka; can have moments of brilliance, but a very big tendancy to be lethargic, not bothered and to go into a sulk when things don't go my way. Also, my receding hairline and attempts at growing worthwhile facial hair...

As a Liverpool fan who was sat in Wembly for the 1987 league cup final, I defo know who Groves is.

    :D

Plus anytime I hear the "Team Of Carraghers" chant at Anfield it reminds me of the song for Groves.

    Lucas.

Some people may think I'm useless but there are those who think I do a decent enough job for the role I have even if I don't score many goals.

    Either him or Jimmy Bullard.

Not great but pretty funny once in a while.

Stephen Ireland - Questionable at first, blossomed out of nowhere, been a bit shite at times, and of course, turned his back on the country.

Thierry Henry - I just use my left hand

Me? I'm a James McFadden. I possess moments of brilliance but only show them once in a blue moon. Otherwise I'm mediocre and forgotten about to a large extent.
