They just showed it again but I missed it.

RTE seemed convinced but not one of them made the point that Villa went down very easy (I'd say dived personally) for Spain's peno so I don't trust their word for it.

I'll see it again in a while no doubt.

Classic case of ref overcompensating when in doubt. Wants to be seen as whiter than white. We saw the same thing with mike riley making lampard taking 3 pens at west ham last season.

Because that rule is more of a guideline these days - only used for incidents of proper hardcore cheating, like we saw in the uruguay V ghana

I think Germany would struggle more against Paraguay then Spain. Spains style of game will suit the Germans and I have faith in Loews tactics.

Only the German hype comes on the back of two 4 goal wins. I doht like the hype myself but in Germanys case at least it's based on performances shown not on past merits.
