Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ex Display Amps

Hi, I recently bought a new amp from a store in the uk called www.hwaudio.co.uk. It was a fender champ 600. So anyway, I bought the amp and the next day i get an email saying that they had none left in stock so they got one sent over from one of their other branches and it was "out of the box and had a scruff down one side of it", they said they could offer me a £20 reduction because of this, and i said "how 'bout £40?", they said "ok". So I got the amp for £90.

So, my question is, do you think this was a bad decision buying an ex display amp? I'm a beginner tell what kind of use the amp would have seen in the shops. I more concerned about the electronics than the cosmetics. Say if it was on display for a year, what effect would that have on the electronics?

not a problem.. These amps are barely switched on, and if they are, how loud have you been allowed set an amp in a guitar shop?

i bought a marshall dsl100 that use to be a shop display model in musicmaker. was best decision ever. i saved about 600euro because of this and it was in perfect condition. only thing was that i didnt get the foot switch with it, which isnt much of a problem.
