Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Evidence of Actively Seeking work

    Hi,

I just found out recently that as a Mature Student I may qualify for JSB.

I haven't kept a complete file of all the jobs I have applied for. How much evidence of looking for employment does the SWO require? Can I give emails from jobs sites saying I sent in an application or do I need to get some form of acknowledgement from the company I applied to? I haven't even heard back from some. Could I send a letter requesting they received my application?

Also, I finished college on 5th May. If I am eligible to claim, will I be back dated from this date?

    Thanks.

Very little chance of your claim being back dated - it is only taken from the date that you first present yourself to SW. Unless you have a good reason for not applying earlier eg family funeral.

The e mails you sent out applying for job vacancies would be perfectly acceptable as proof of seeking employment.
