Is there any particular shop in town that specialises in them?

Or anybody bought one somewhere and were happy with price/service?

    Thanks:)

Argos, Tesco and Currys would be your best bets.

Cheapest in Argos is http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4063304/Trail/searchtext%3EDYSON.htm at €290

Murphys in Westside. Great customer service for when it lets you down!!!

If you want a cheaper option, wait for the Aldi version (I find it much better and reliable).

    Thanks all for the info:)

I had an Aldi bag-less one, and thought it was muck, no suction at all. That's the reason I was going for a Dyson.

Don't tell me the Dyson's have only similar suction to the Aldi ones:(

The Dyson is only a fad !
I have heard loads of complaints from friends who say they dont last too long.
Plus me dad sells electrical goods including Dysons, but he said he wouldnt send his worst enemy out of the store with one of them

You cant beat the Nilfisk !

I have to agree having owned one, they are a load of ****e and so easy to break. The plastic used on them cracks easily and on all parts, then try and get replacements parts and see how much they set you back  I would never recommend one, as said Nilfisk are excellent but we got a Henry a few years back and its brilliant, never gave a bit of trouble.

DID electrical are having a sale at the moment. I know someone who just got a vax bagless hoover for 99euro a few days ago. It's light as a feather and has fantastic suction.

Totally disagree Dyson are the best vacuum cleaners on the market, all my family have them, and they have never had any major issues.

Dyson have there own helpline, to answer any questions or queries, if after that you still need help they will send an engineer to your home ( or place of work) to look at the cleaner. Plus they have a 5 yr guarantee

No other brand has this service, my parents had a nilfisk and although it was good they wouldn't swap their Dyson for anything.

Some retailers are repair agents for other brands so beware of recommendations, they want your money to repair it when it breaks down:)

Herself has a Dyson, I'd much rather a Henry any day of the week. Impartial advice from one who doesn't give a toss about hoovers/vacuum cleaners.

    Hi Colin,

Don't know if you bought that hoover yet but I'd recommend Miele. We've had both a Dyson and it doesn't come close. Have a look at the cat & dog if you have pets around the house.
