Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah FFS, lets hope that one stays in the tabloids. He's fairly overrated imo and it would be a massive disappointment considering Mourinho and Hiddink are currently the bookies favourites to take over

probably just nonsense from the mirror, I see he thinks Lampard should be the next manager based on the experiences of Harry and Frank Snr. , if footballing management was a genetic trait then Darren Ferguson wouldn't be at Peterborough. How many kids does Jose have I wonder, we could sign one of them up now to manage the 2040/41 season.

Harry would probably love to get in there, we'd probably have enough players to have three teams in the top 5 of the league by the start of the season.

Yeah has to be tabloid filler, gave me a both a gasp and giggle when I spotted it.(gasp may be alcohol induced in hindsight!)
Just as I'm discussing it on another thread, may aswell link it here too.
Official Supporters club map is here for anyone interested.

The Harry link to Chelsea was ridiculed on the Sunday Supplement earlier.
The rag that ran the story loves outlandish stories like that.

Big chance of second place now. Next 3 games are at home.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

Yeah its going to be a close call for 2nd place by the looks of things.
Meant to tell you Johnner, seen the new Chelsea home jersey is up on soccer triads. Remember reading that you were planning on getting it via that website.
Thinking of investing in David Luiz home jersey myself!

    Is it up already?Is it a pre-order? I'll have a look so!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

It was up this morning, haven't a clue about the pre order situation to be honest!

Pre Order Chelsea Home Jersey 11/12
Shirts to be dispatched early June

    I think I'll wait a while.

Members/Season ticket holders can vote for player of the season here,

    http://www.chelseafc.com/page/PlayeroftheYear/0,,10268,00.html?WT.mc_id=POTY-mostpop

I think I'm going for Cech but will wait until closer to the deadline.

A solid end to the season will do wonders for the team's confidence. Hopefully Torres will score soon and Chelsea will challenge on all fronts next season.

If Man U drop 2 points away to Newcastle, the old reliable press, will start with the "Can Chelsea snatch the Premiership?" stories.

Suddenly Carlo will go from "taxi!" to "maxi" or "P45" to "P1"!!!!

Love it, LOVE it, if we did! ;)

    Super Blues!

He hasn't been outstanding by any means but to be honest I can't think of any player in any position who has been outstanding this season, that goes for all clubs.

For me, Cech or Terry have been our best players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Makes up for him not getting in the team last year when he had probably his best season in a Chelsea shirt.

Shirt for 2011/2012 is up on the megastore .

    what do you think ?

I'm in 2 minds about this one, I quite liked the red on this seasons one, but also it's good to go back to the simple look - allthough not too gone on the blue horizontal stripes ...

I think its the best chelsea kit in ages. Love the little bit of blue stripes and I am glad we got rid of that red collar.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

It's a lovely jersey, IMO. I still loved the one from last season, with the chest-armour look, but I love this new look one. Already pre-ordered mine!!!! haha.

Didn't like this season's one, really. But hopefully it'll be a good new season in the new jersey!!!:D

I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to the Chelsea kit. I really appreciated when they dropped the limp lion-pawing-the-ball logo, and went back to the current crest. I like a consistent theme of solid blue with white stripe on the knicks! The hoops? Hmmm. The white shoulder bit? Not so sure. Maybe it'll look good on the pitch.

Quite like the shirt, reminds me a bit of the shirt they were wearing a couple of seasons after I started going to games.

    med_gallery_3257_7_101665.jpg

I loved the lion they used to have on the shirts, and John Neal our manager who started to turn it round for us.

Ian McGary has just announced our new DoF, head coach and formation...

...on 5 Live's Monday Night Club.

Next season we will be welcoming back Guus Hiddink as DoF with Van Basten as his choice of head coach; we will sign 4 players pre-season and Torres will lead the line in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
    Bloody hell very specific

I heard it was the christmas tree formation with Dancer up front and Rudolph out on the left wing. ;)

Seriously lads, all kinds of ****e is written about us, Harry Rednapp!
The current Barca duo! The current Porto manager! Frank Rijkaard!
    Its all ****e.
I hope Roman does his usual "unexpected" thing and keeps Carlo on

Newcastle to take points off Man U tomorrow and Torres to score Wednesday

Pity the youth cup game is on tomorrow night. Can't see too much of a crowd going up to Old Trafford with the senior game being on. Will be disappointing for them.

It's all a little too late for us. The standard this season has been poor.
