Very relieved that Ramires' transfer is complete. It was getting like the Robinho saga in 2008, when all summer he seemed certain to sign for us(as it turns out it was just as well we didn't sign Robinho), when he was nicked from under our noses at the eleventh hour. And I'm very confident that Ramires will do way, way better than his aforementioned compatriot did during his time in the Premier League.

Pickin' up where we left off boys!!! I just saw the 2nd half , apart from some scary moments at the back (top 6 team would have punished us) a solid performance.

Hopefully in the weeks to come we will iron that out...

That was a great weekend. In bits now but it was well worth it. Malouda is such a class act, Drogba isn't bad either.

I've just added Malouda into my Fantasy Football team. He has come on in gigantic leaps & bounds. With the clearout of Ballack/Cole, he'll be a midfield stalwart.

I didn't even get to see the game. family duties ftw.

all Im saying is lads..Yossi didnt get sent off..:)
he played quite well I thought, granted WB were pretty much in heads down mode when he came on, but not a bad all signing at all. Allows Carlo the option of taking off Lamps if needs be.

id hope so, he'd be a great signing for us for the future, we dont need him to go in right away and score 25goals, with Drogba and Anelka still playing fantastically then he can have a sub role to get used to the league for the first few months or even the season!!

Think he's too weak for CM myself. He would be better on the right, he finds space really well and although he hisn't super fast he is full of tricks.

Malouda has been one of our best players for a while now. The 13.5 million we paid Lyon looks to be an absolute bargain now.

Only caught the highlights but we looked very good , The way we played it was like the last game of the season was only last weekend , completely picked up from where we left off .

I know it was only West Brom but it was the manner in the way we dealt with them that was the most impressive . I thought at times Chelsea were very complacent last season and was a bit worried about the opening game , but the hunger is definitely still there.

now why do people do this? why pop into a rival thread just to stir it up. If you're not happy with what is said or put up in the thread of a rival team just leave it and go to your own team's thread.

Baffles me the way people on here pop in and out to throw a little abuse around.
