Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

it finished with "on loan to Bolton"

Masssive "thanks be to foook". Like Danny, think he will be class for us, great experience for him too, hopefully plenty of first team football, then down the line, back to the bridge to partner Torres up front.
    nice!

As far as I'm aware you can on restrict a player from playing if he is on loan ! Pay 50mil for the lad and then have is ex club telling us what we can do with him , did you see the pictures on ssn of the clowns hiring his jersey ! He owes them nothing !

Funny that. you originally thought 40 million was too much.
Still do, but what we are paying from him compared to 35 million for Carroll suddenly seems justified.

    very fickle

    What yourself quoted me on:

40 Million? Ah here, thats too big a gamble to be taking on one player thats only been showing glimpses of what he can do this season (one of note was one of his goal against ourselves. The begger)
Get a younger talent in for quarter of that and focus on getting in a defender and let Sturridge get his game time, he deserves it and he is well capable.

    fickle?
Lets use the above quote shall we so? my preference was to bring in a CB as our top priority for this window, hopefully that appears to be well under way.

I also wasn't in favour of loosing Anelka/Danny in any deal, thankfully that hasn't been done either. I did think we had a sufficient back up striker should anything happen to Anelka/Drogba in the form of Danny, but as of today, Danny is gone out on loan.

I also didn't like the idea of spending 40+ on him given his form of late/injury woes, and would have preferred to buy in one or two younger talents, but again, after the spending going on today, 50 million for Torres will either be seen as money well spent or money down the tubes, hopefully for us, it will be the former not the latter.
Ill let you know my feelings about that come the end of the season.

    Fickle? I'm afraid not sunshine.

I wouldnt bite, No point in dragging the Chelsea thread down to the level the Liverpool one has gone.
I mean, they have asked to ban pictures of him wearing blue and practically offered councilling!
Apparently he "wont get the love at the Bridge that they gave him", and "hardly anyone out to greet him, hope he notices" FFS :D
