I think a lot of people wont pay as much as attention to him as Torres but for me, he is a shrewd move

Luiz is the most talented CB not already playing at a massive club. That's a massive coup. I don't think Torres is worth anything near 50 million, but those two will really rejuvenate the squad.

Why Torres will SUCCEED at Chelsea

A fresh start
He knows 50 million reasons that he's wanted
He knows he's back in the Champions League
JT's leadership
He'll look around the dressing room and see the quality
Be surrounded by a positive and winning mentality
The service he will get from Cole, Malouda, Lamps etc etc
The training and medical facilities are second to none
Carlo bought some of the famous AC Milan Lab with him for dodgy knees work etc
He wont have to play with Steven Pieneer!
Even Kalou can show him a winning EPL medal!

well he got used to that at liverpool but at least his chances are higher at chelsea over the next few seasons

He has a 5 1/2 year contract. Chances are he'll win a fair few trophies in that time. Anything is an improvement on what he's won at Athleti/Pool.

You may be right, but there is no doubt with roman splashing the cash again that we will be more competative than liverpool.

I think you want this to happen more than you really believe it. Today is a huge statement of intent by them, much as it pains me to say it.

dont believe that for a second, chelsea have an amazing team.

fwiw i supported chelsea for a long time until roman came in, getting rid of jimmy made me stop supporting them!
