Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bike lock options

I need to get new locks for my bike
There are 2 ways to go as far as I can see
Get the Kryptonite Evo. Mini for the front wheel, in conjunction with an existing cable and the Kryptonite Evo. Standard for the rear wheel (through rear triangle to post etc.)
    or
get the Kryptonite New York 3000 to lock rear wheel & existing cable for front wheel.
My feeling was that the two evo locks, while cheaper both have to be bypassed to steal the bike, where as if I were to use the New York 3000, there's only one to be bypassed! (The cost of the 2 evo locks is almost the same as 1 New York lock.)
    Thoughts?

They only need to break the rear evo and then carry your bike away to work on it elsewhere.

Get the New York lock, an extra long one if it exists, and when you're locking your bike, remove the front wheel and thread the lock through the two wheels and the frame, locking to the post.

Unless you lock your bike completely out of sight and for a number of days, you're unlikely to lose it with the New York around it. If it's locked in public, thieves will move onto something easier.

one of these set me back 100 in camden st. I had it frame-mounted but its so heavy that it would work the mount loose every few days so now I just carry it in my backpack. I use a krypto flex through it and the front wheel when parking in public.
