Hey, I applied and have completed first round interviews. Was told 1100 applicants this year for between 5 and 8 places.

Took about a week to hear back from them after the online tests.

Oh wow, thats a lot of competition I'd say I have no chance now :( How did the interview go? Was it long, mostly competency based? Still no word on how I got on yet *fingers crossed* :P

15 minute interview that basically went over the application. Went fine, but have decided that two years working in a semi-state company sounds a bit too much like hell so am going to decline a job if offered.

Private Sector FTW at the moment I'd say

My flatmate and I both applied... I completed my online tests a few days before him... He got his PFO:( today and I still haven't received anything... positive or negative? Frustrationation.

Well I would say no news is good news to be honest! from the sounds of it they sound out their PFO's before they send out the good news, so fingers crossed for ya! I did my online test about 10 days ago and they said they would have a reply to me within 7 and I have yet to hear anything, so hoping it is a good sign, although the competition does sound pretty steep with 1100 applying for 5/6 jobs :(

Seemed pretty similar to the previous two interviews, but I'm guessing it's conducted with the people who succesfull applicants would eventually be working with.

I also had the final interview yesterday - when do you reckon that we will hear?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Last final interviews are taking place tomorrow, so I presume we'll hear before the weekend.

Has anyone got an internal HR email address for the DAA?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Online tests were numerical and verbal reasoning if I remember correctly, google shl practice tests and you should see some examples.

    Thanks for that,

hi all, just jumping in here, id initially been turned down after the my interview in july, but now they've called to ask me in for another interview. Seems they'd had a few on the waiting list, and since some of you have turned positions down, theres a few open i suppose. So what was the next interview like? was there a presentation to do? also in my interview, the interviewer mentioned there would be an assessment centre as the next and final stage, but it seems from reading your comments that there was another 2 interviews and no mention of assessment centre?

any help ye can give would be greatly appreciated. Also, i'm interviewing for something else too but would prefer the DAA job if it pays in any way well, but can't find out how much it pays online, and it would probably be rude to ask in interview. If its not too brash to ask, could anyone who's already signed their contract let me know, if they wouldnt mind, even by private mail?
    :)

Hey, offer for an application with a post grad was 26k for 2 years, not sure what it is for someone with just an undergrad.

For me it was interview in IFSC then assessment centre which consisted of group discussion, competency based interview and a presentation. Then the final step was a interview in dublin airport with someone who you would potentially be working under.

It was all very straight forward, do research on the DAA, what problems there are with the organisation, what threats they're facing etc.

Best of luck and feel free to fire me a pm if you want to ask any more questions.

Hate being a pain and dragging up an old thread.... got through to the final round of the grad programmer 2013.... is there anyone on here that actually got through the Grad programme before and could give a run down on what its actually like to work for the DAA....? i.e promotions opps, day to day stuff? do u get to travel? is the work different on a day to day basis etc. I have done placement before for a company and found the work very repetitive and boring and hope this isn't the case with the DAA.

Im looking more along the lines of strategy in the DAA..
