New Roaming charges for Mobiles/Meteor

    I read this morning the EU has brought in new mobile charges for roaming for mobile phones of a maximum 39c per minute to make calls and a maximum 15c a minute to receive calls.

    this afternoon i receive a text from meteor to say they've reduced their roaming charges down to 47c and 18c - must be a case of meteor trying to pull the wool over the consumer

    Don't jump to conclusions. I think you'll find that 47 is 20.5% greater than 39, which is pretty much the 21% VAT rate.
