    Hi, just posting this here as there might be someone on here interested or knows someone who went to this school (1910-1971) more information on http://www.coguish.com/ and more information will be added to the site in the upcoming weeks the reunion is on from the 7-14 August.

    Events

    All past pupils, are invited to attend the centenary celebrations, which will be held in conjunction with Fleadh Ceoil Chill Chartha


    Sunday 8th August: Kilcar pipe band will parade on the street after mass.
    Heritage walk starting at, Spaniards Church Cashlings at 1 pm to Lug Na gCnámh Cashelcarn and across the Glen to the mass rock at Shannagh

    Tuesday 10th August: Crossroads Dance Main Street Kilcar at 8 pm

    Wednesday 11th August: Mass at 7 pm in St Chartha Church for all deceased pupils and teachers. A night of entertainment by singers and musicians from the Glen will be staged in the Parish Hall. There will also be a recital by the Coguish School Choir that performed at a liturgical festival held in Killybegs in 1956.(Not to be missed).
    Doors Open: 8pm. Show commences at 8.30 pm sharp. Refreshments will be served, Adm Adults €10.00. Children €5.00

    Thursday 12th August: A talk by Ronan Galvin on music from the Glen in the Áislann cinema at 7 pm followed by Echoes in the Glen at 8 pm. Buses available from the Áislann

    Friday 13th August: Reflections and Memories of our school days and a look back at the history of education in the Glen by Christy Gillespie at 7 pm in the Áislann Cinema. Céilí will follow in the Parish Hall.

    Dé Céadaoin 11ú Lúnasa: Ag 7.00 ó cloig beidh Aifreann a cheiliúradh i dTeach Pobal Cartha Naofa i gcuimhne na múinteoirí agus daltaí Scoil na Coguise atá ar slua na mairbh.

    Halla Na Paróiste: Beidh ceolchoirm le Ceol na Cogúise ar siúil ina mbeidh Ceoltóirí agus Amhránaí on Ghleann ag glacadh páirt. Soláistí ar fáil. Cead isteach: €10.00

    Diardaoin 12ú Lúnasa: Áislann Cill Chartha: Léacht le Ronan Galvin in Áislann Cill Chartha faoi Cheoltóirí agus Amhráiní Traidisiúnta ón Ghleann ag a 7 ó cloig.
    Indiaidh an léacht beidh seisiúin de Macalla Sa Ghleann. Busanna ar fáil ón Áislann suas go dtí Gleann a Baile Dubh.

    Dé h- Aoine 13u Lúnasa: Físeán agus Caint faoi Scoil Na Cogúise a chur i láthair ag Criostóir Mac Giolla Easpuig in Áislann Cill Chartha ag 7 ó cloig.

    Halla Na Paróiste: Oíche Ceoil agus Damhsa le críoch a chur leis an teacht le chéile.
