Just heard there on another forum that these are the Cork changes for saturday, no idea how accurate they are though:

Tom Kenny to wing back for Sean Og.
Callanan comes in at centre field.
    Pat Horgan to centre forward.
    Ben O'Connor to corner forward
Between Cussen and Paidi Sullivan if Jerry O'Connor doesnt make it.
If it's Cussen he'll play wing forward.

Instead of being up and coming the lads on the Waterford team are already here. Eoin Kelly, John Mullane, Brick Walsh. The only lad thats "old" is Tony Browne (but he seems to defy age).

Put Galway and Waterford up against each other now and chances are Waterford will win. That makes Waterford the better team imho.

Add in the fact that Waterford have their own fair share of younger players such as Connors, Sully, Foley, Nagle, Maurice Shan, Tomas Ryan, not to mention the good crop of minors and the likes of Adrian power waiting in the wings.

All their rerally important players the likes of Kelly, Mullane and Brick are the right side of 30.

Waterford will still be challenging at the top level in 5 years time, I've no oubt about it whatsoever.

I'd be amazed if Cussen didn't start at centre forward. Pat Horgan would get an awful roasting off the Brick.

I'd like to see it in a friendly before next season. I wouldn't like to see it Saturday, it wouldn't go well for Big Dec.

I don't think these would be great changes by Cork. While I'd agree with moving Tom Kenny to wing back I wouldn't agree with bringing on Callanan midfield,I'd put young Lorcan McLoughlin out there. As for Pat Horgan going to centre forward this would be a disastrous move in my opinion. How Kieran Fraggie Murphy is keeping his place is puzzling,he's been very poor the last few games.

Nevermind that, why did Walsh choose him as captain?

I'm sure the players appoint the captain but I might be wrong there. Either way it's a good question and I can't figure out why he's the captain either?

The Cork team for the replay has been named, and Sean Og O Hailpin STARTS!

    1. Donal Og Cusack (Cloyne)
    2. Shane O'Neill (Bishopstown)
    3. Eoin Cadogan (Douglas)
    4. Brian Murphy (Bride Rovers)
    5. John Gardiner (Na Piarsaigh)
    6. Ronan Curran (St. Finbarr's)
    7. Sean Og Ó hAilpín (Na Piarsaigh)
    8. Tom Kenny (Grenagh)
    9. Cathal Naughton (Newtownshandrum)
    10. Ben O'Connor (Newtownshandrum)
    11. Niall McCarthy (Carrigtwohill)
    12. Michael Cussen (Sarsfields)
    13. Kieran 'Fraggie' Murphy (Sarsfields)
    14. Aisake Ó hAilpín (Na Piarsaigh)
    15. Patrick Horgan (Glen Rovers)

The only change sees Michael Cussen come in at no.12 in place of Jerry O'Connor with Niall McCarthy moving to centre forward.

Waterford team has also been named:

    1. Clinton Hennessy (Ardmore)
    2. Eoin Murphy (Shamrocks)
    3. Liam Lawlor (Fourmilewater)
    4. Noel Connors (Passage)
    5. Tony Browne (Mount Sion)
    6. Michael 'Brick' Walsh (Stradbally)
    7. Declan Prendergast (Ardmore)
    8. Shane O'Sullivan (Ballygunner)
    9. Richie Foley (Abbeyside)
    10. Shane Walsh (Fourmilewater)
    11. Kevin Moran (De La Salle)
    12. Eoin Kelly (Fourmilewater)
    13. Stephen Molumphy (Ballyduff Upper)
    14. John Mullane (De La Salle)
    15. Seamus Prendergast (Ardmore)

The only personnel change is Prendergast in for Eoin McGrath. There are positional switches galore in the forwards but don't expect them to line up like that. Prender and Walsh will directly swap positions, Mullane will go to 13 with Eoin Kelly more than likely at FF and Molumphy at left-half forward.

Sean Og obviously didnt fully pull hamstring or there is no way he would be able to hurl a week later

I think they said it was a small tear and they probably had to wait for swelling to go down for a scan .. Or maybe mind games ????;)

    Sean Og is out. Phew!

Also, those terraces look deserted. I could nearly guarantee the attendence woud be at least 5,000 better if it was on a Sunday afternoon.

Low scoring game. Cork really are wasting some good goal scoring chances.

Keeping an eye on the score, what is the standard like? 4 points for Cork from a half of hurling seems pretty poor

The stress of this!!! Draw.. gone to extratime. C'MON CORK!

Hopefully if Eoin Kelly gets the chance this time, it'll go in! :D

A dull enough match. Both teams blew it and whoever can score a goal will win IMO

I watch a bit of GAA when it's on and if there's nothing better on. Bu that was quality watching it under the floodlights. The GAA should give us more of those night games. Great drama!!!

Since when is Ferrybank half in Cork?

Congratulations to Waterford but Cork have only themselves to blame for losing this match, when was the last time a Cork hurling team scored 4 points in the first half of a Munster final with so much possession??? The only good thing to come out of this from our point of view is that it looks like a Cork/Antrim 1/4 final with Galway playing Tipp. As I said before the match I don't think either team will make the All Ireland. Not good enough imo, semis look like Waterford/Tipp and Cork/Kilkenny. Expect a repeat of last years final barring a miracle.

What do you mean the bad guys got beat??? Only one thing worse than a sore loser and that's a sore winner, wise up!

I assume he is looking from the perspective of Ferrybank being partly in Kilkenny, so looking at it from a KK supporter POV.

I'd prefer if it was half in Cork!:) I'd still pick Waterford though.

Hard luck to the Cork lads. You guys know how to give us one hell of a game, as always. At least you've got Antrim in the quarters now, and I expect you to give Kilkenny a serious run for their money.

Absoulutly BRILLIANT, when i saw Big Dan come on and mullane off i thought " oh no" but again he surprises fans and critics... Great battle as per usual by both teams and a well deserved win for Fitzy and the boys. Brick Walsh, Tony Brown (just epic) and Mullane will remaine a God in Waterford :D

Is there ever a better battle between 2 teams ? I dont think so !

Funny enough I think you could be right as regards Kilkenny but I can't see us beating them, not enough quality in our forwards

I understand leaving Aisake on for the game cos you never know when he'll turn it. But MY GOD he was shocking tonight

And as for 6'7" Cussen! I'd have done better myself, and I'm a 5'4" woman :(
