Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi there

i bought a new tv in the past week , its a panasonic TXL32C20B full HD LCD 32 inch , was going to go for a samsung but was persuaded by the retailer to go for a panasonic , i am however disapointed with the picture quality , its most apparent when viewing sport , its as if it cant clearly follow the action , when watching football , when the ball travels fast from one end of the pitch to the other , it becomes ( in my eyes ) somewhat hazy and is frankly , giving me a headache , im wondering if perhaps panasonic ( or just this model ) while very good on reliability are not that great when it comes to picture quality , i used to hear it said years ago that while mitsubishi were better than grundig on reliability , grundig had a nicer picture , i was of that opinion myself , always found my cousins grundig to have a pleasing picture

i realise both grundig and mitsubishi are ancient history , would JVC , philips or samsung be a better bet

    any ideas welcome

You probably just need to tweak the settings.

I'll give you some basics (based on a Panasonic plasma, so YMMV. I can't vouch for the settings marked in blue).

    [PICTURE MENU]
    Viewing Mode: Cinema
    *Contrast: 30*
    *Brightness: 0*
    *Colour: 30*
    *Sharpness: 5*

    Tint: 0
    Colour Balance: Warm
    xv Colour: Auto
    Eco Mode: Off
    P-NR: Off
3D COMB: Off (unless you watch TV using the built-in analogue tuner)

This one is the most likely culprit for poor sports viewing:

    [SETUP MENU]
    > [OTHER SETTINGS]
    > Intelligent Frame Creation: Off

If you need more detailed setup info, look up the LCD TV section on AVForums.
