The International Mohammed VI meeting is starting on Europsport 2. Highlight looks to be Ukhov and Bondarenko in the High Jump.

Was class to see him competing in the Dream mile. Very gutsy run. He was hanging on for dear life at 1100M but clung onto the guy in front. Fair play to him. Hopefully, future international medals beckon.

    In case you missed it

With a quality field it must be that bit more attainable to get a PB. Their speed makes you work that bit more.

Couldn't make him out crossing the line. Was he 5th place or 10th place or I thought he was about 3 mins 52. Listed as 3 mins 54.77 on IAAF site. That would make him about 10th place.

    Edit: 11th he came.

Diamond League New York - Sat 9pm BBC Red Button.

Although elsewhere on the BBC site it says 6pm but I think that's wrong. From what I can tell, it starts at 4pm local time in New York.

If anyone has it, PBS (channel 534 on Sky) is showing a Jesse Owens documentary tonight at 10:20.

An antidote to the corruption and cheating in the big sports tournament on at the mo, perhaps.

It wasn't on at 6, I tried then as well. Going by the startlist here, it should be coming on around now.

DL New York High jump is absolutely insane. First time in history that two men jumped 2.42 in the same competition.

I could see Barshim breaking the WR this year. Bondarenko obviously fantastic as well but Barshim has cleared a couple of heights by some distance.

English puts himself firmly on the World Stage now. 2nd place to the master Rushida is all right I think !

Mark English 1.45.03 for 2nd behind Rudisha. Took a few scalps there.

Awesome, pissed I missed it now. Fecking BBC (and RTE for not caring in the slightest about athletics coverage).
