Are the times on the left hand column Irish or Brussel times? I know the site sometimes adjust the time for local, but it doesn't state here for me.

I have the 1st race to start at 16:55

Edit: Given as Central European Time

Christine Ohuruogu seems to run every 400m like a 450m race, so the 500m could suit her! Lynsey Sharp doesn't seem to have a great 400m or 200m, although she ran the European 800m from the front so maybe she's now faster but just hasn't got a time. Eilidh Child is fast over 400 and has a hurdler's strength, so maybe she will take it!

Just noticed Eilidh Child and Lynsey Sharp running tonight - probably a bit more important than tomorrow!

Robinson just about to go in the 1000 metres.

Haven't seen his time but he was kinda hanging on there. Out in lane 2 with 300 to go wasn't ideal.

    Edit: 2.18.46

It was horrible watching Gatlin literally run away from the field in the 100m

I can only hope they were booing in the stadium (though it didn't sound like it)

His 3:30 1500m. Not the fastest in the world.

Closed last lap in 52 high in the Olympics. Very possible.

The only problem with that is he only got going at 300 to go (dropping a 12.6 @ 3.34 pace) and shut down to celebrate about 50m out.

It's not how fast he ran it's how he ran it that creates the attention

Funny how the High Jump is so brilliant when the Long version is in the utter doldrums. Barshim will surely beat Sotomayor's record soon. Next year?

I'm glad I managed to remember to watch the athletics tonight after missing the last couple of meetings on TV. Some real competition as well as the fast times and performances. Agree that the Qatari jumper should bag the WR in the High Jump in the next 12 months. How he contorts his body over the bar is amazing. As for Gatlin, well great double up but you can imagine him being stung again in the future.

And, at least the Beeb kept it quiet when the High Jump was hotting up and let the action flow for a time. The world feed commentators are very good and their impartiality calling the events is refreshing. Must say I worry about Colin Jackson's apparent inability to string a coherent sentence together.

Watching it now after recording it and just fast forwarded through the entire 100m race, three dopers in the one race? No thanks.

No doping speculation please, I had to edit a few posts. There are other sites where you can discuss that if you wish.
