    ^ Great site, there's a few more videos and a lot of articles on the rescues the lads do. Just noticed the links page with a lot of other Coast Guard websites, seems to be a bit of a competition for having the best site :D

    Looks like an awful lot of fun! If you have to volunteer to be in harms way and go at a moments notice,only fair you get to jolly around the seas. Joking aside,lots of respect for IrCG and other maritime services.

    Mind me asking did management provide it or did you have to pay for it?? And if its the first is it on trial to be given out to other units???

    Hi NGA,

    Don't mind at all. The camera used on that video is a personally owned camera and was brought out to see was it any good. (It wasn't bought especially, a friend just happened to have one and wasn't using it) Turned out pretty alright so I can see us continuing to use it when appropriate. Management have seen the video and haven't said anything negative.

    The videos of the wet winch on the vimeo group are actually taken on an iphone in a waterproof pouch. Worked out quite well. Brave man trusting a pouch with his iphone though!
